This was my second time staying at the Rusacks and i enjoyed it even more this time around. The hotel is gorgeous with stunning views of the golf course and the sea. It is located within walking distance of the main bus station and a quick walk to everything downtown. The rooms are very clean and spacious with every amenity you can think of (fridge, coffee maker, kettle, coffee, teas, cookies, safe, hairdryer, iron, extra blankets...)a. The bathrooms are very modern with heated floors and towel racks. The restaurant offers delicious food and great cocktails. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They had great recommendations for things to do and places to eat and shop.

The location is the hotel is perfect, lovely walking distance to the main shops in St Andrews and very near the beach too. The hotel was beautiful throughout. The corridors smelt beautiful and the decor was amazing. The breakfast was lovely, I do enjoy a buffet, that way I can have a little bit of everything that I want, but I did enjoy the breakfast and there was a nice selection on the menu. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous, we had a beautiful corner window which look out on the beach in the distance and also on to the golf course. It was just perfect to sit in the comfy sofa and watch out the window. We took our wee dog with us and she was made to feel most welcome and it was a pleasure to have her with us.

We could not have loved our stay at Rusacks more. I chose it because it was looked incredibly beautiful, festive and, of course, had the proximity to the Old Course we were after! We were greeted after a VERY long day of driving with a room upgrade that absolutely thrilled my golf loving son - a room with a view to the 18th Hole of the most famous course in the world. It was incredibly spacious, especially the bathroom, and I enjoyed some much-needed relaxing soaks in the massive bathtub. We had excellent breakfasts every morning in the dining room, and had two cracking dinners at the One Under Bar. The Christmas decorations filled my festive-loving heart with joy - it’s a really special time to be there, and the town of Saint Andrews is stunning. Small enough to explore on foot, but lots to see and do! Finally, I have to say that the Rusacks staff were engaged, warm and generous with their time. My son had his name in the ballot to play the Old Course on our first morning there, and every single person we spoke to not only wished him well in getting a tee time, but asked after his success the next day (he got a time, lucky guy!). It meant so much to him, to have that excitement shared and celebrated, and is testament to the lovely people you have working there. We would come back in a heartbeat, and hopefully will again!

This hotel is the finest establishment in which we have ever had the pleasure of staying. We have been to hotels in over 50 countries and nothing compares to St. Andrews. It is a world class experience. We were greeted at the door, our luggage was taken to our room, and we were given a tour of the facility. Our room was stunning as was the view. It was luxurious and comfortable. We ate at One Under as 18 was closed this time of year. The menu was limited but our burger and fish and chips were delicious. Breakfast the next morning was spectacular. Staff members were amazing- they were a real delight to speak with and were so helpful. I cannot recommend a hotel more highly!

Absolutely Loved the hotel ,my only Disappointment was all comfortable chairs and sofa’s especially in from of the fire in the Foyer ,had no bar /coffee available. The down stairs bar not very comfortable at all . When we going to a wedding the restaurant was empty but it only did food and we could Not Sit there either . Went to the 4th floor bar to be told they would need to see if there was space . Fortunately there were a few bar stools but what would it be like if It was a full capacity ?

The Russacks is a wonderful hotel, there is no denying. It’s a gorgeous location, the staff were amazing and the bed was so comfortable, plus we had a stunning view of the beach! It pains me to fault it because it really is a lovely hotel but unfortunately our shower did not work during our stay. There was no hot water and the water was trickling, not something you’d expect for the price you’re paying to stay here. I hate to make a bad review because I think if you want to stay here then you should, it’s perfect location and good walking distance from everything. We really enjoyed our stay but had we been staying for 2 nights and not 1 we would of been really disappointed with the fact that we could not wash while staying there especially after a long journey as all you want to do it get clean and we couldn’t because it was freezing and very little water was coming out. I think we would have made more of a fuss if we were staying longer but the hotel really is so lovely and we weren’t staying for long so just made do with what we had. I just hope they can get the issues of the water sorted out as it seemed to be an on going problem when we called up and if it is a problem you should notify your guests so that they have that expectation in their mind before booking or lower your prices because you do not expect to be paying x amount and not be able to do one of the fundamental things at a hotel. It’s a bit like arriving to no sheets on your bed ahaha. All in all I really don’t want to make our stay into a negative I just think we paid a lot for one night so if someone had paid for more nights this would be seriously disappointing and not something you expect from a fancy hotel like the Russacks.

Fantastically located property to the town, old course & beach. Plentiful dining options. We were pleased by breakfast, afternoon tea & lunch options. Attentive and well-meaning care by members of the team. We had an issue with our room which was dealt with promptly & followed up on check-out. Nice relaxation areas. Not busy during our stay.

First the hotel itself. I personally think the hotel's location is excellent, and the interior of the lobby is very cosy. They have all the necessary facilities including a nice fitness centre. I had breakfast at the bridge as well and the food and coffee were nice. The view from where I was seated was beautiful. Second, the staff. I only stayed for a night so I did not interact with the staff much but everyone I did interact with were all so friendly, nice and helpful. They made me feel welcomed. Lastly, the room! if you're able I definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony overlooking the incredible view. The room itself was a very nice size. it was spotless, had everything I needed, and the bed had to be one of the comfiest warmest beds I have ever slept on.

Wonderful old-world charm with our room overlooking the famous golf course. Loved this hotel. The atmosphere was that of a golfing club with rooms and spaces to meet and relax. Very close to the beach and the University part of the city. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Restaurant available for dinner and breakfast. Town and sights are an easy walk. Beach close by to walk along. Historic sights to see also. Plenty to see in the town. We had a family room which was very spacious with a lovely sitting area to enjoy the view.

Everything! This is the top place to stay in St Andrews now in our opinion. Marine & Lawn have refurbed the hotel to a v.high standard, with a boutique Scottish victorian hunting lodge style with luxury modern touches! The restaurants were super! Breakfast was excellent porridge fabulous & the steaks in 18 spot on. All the Staff were professional, knowledgeable welcoming and friendly. We really had the most perfect weekend away and we will be back early in new year!
